HISTORICAL HEMIMORFITE, Huge and Rare Crystals from Ojuela, Mexico
Historical specimen, once part of the Pio Mariani museum collection. This is an enormous Hemimorphite sample composed of numerous well-formed crystals, with the largest reaching nearly 5 cm! Such a remarkable size is exceptional for Hemimorphite crystals. The color is reddish-brown/dark brown along the body of the dark crystal, while the tip is of lighter hues; this makes the specimen even rarer and more unique. The major peculiarity of this Hemimorphite is that this type of mineral usually does not crystallize in this way and is typically found only as coatings on matrix.
Additionally, this specimen is highly UV sensitive. Ultraviolet light makes it fluoresce bright yellow.

Scientific Information:
Hemimorphite typically forms as thin, plate-like crystals or as coatings on matrix. The unusual elongated crystals in this specimen are a result of specific geological conditions during its formation. In the Ojuela Mine, unique environmental factors such as temperature, pressure, and mineral-rich fluids contributed to the development of these exceptional, elongated crystals. The reddish-brown color variation is due to trace metal impurities and changes in oxidation states within the crystal structure.
Crystal Therapy:
Hemimorphite is believed to have various therapeutic properties. It is often used in crystal healing for its supposed ability to balance and harmonize emotional and mental states. The unique color changes under UV light may enhance its energetic properties, providing additional layers of healing and insight.
Shipping:
Shipping is usually carried out the day after purchase with tracking and meticulous care in packaging. Shipments from the same customer will be combined, and excess shipping costs will be refunded either within the same package or by other means, as previously agreed upon.
Photos:
The photos are taken in a specialized set with strong lighting. We strive to avoid altering the color of the specimens presented. However, it is recommended to keep the minerals in well-lit areas to fully appreciate their color.
